Beautiful Brazil

In February of this year, we had the opportunity to travel to Rio de Janeiro for a recording project with singer/harpist Cristina Braga and her husband, bassist/producer Ricardo Medeiros. Two weeks in the studio, along with abundant warm sunshine, swims in the Atlantic off Copacabana Beach, and mangoes fresh off the tree, resulted in "Paisagem," a beautiful CD of Bossa Nova standards from the '50s and '60s.

"Paisagem" has just been released in Brazil on the Biscoito Fino label. It has received glowing reviews, and we eagerly await its U.S. debut.

Biscoito Fino is an independent label which was begun by legendary Brazilian composer/pianist Francis Hime and his brilliant, energetic, and engaging wife, Olivia. Greats such as Chico Buarque are represented on their catalog, and we are proud to be there with them.
